Just a comment. Really strange, coming from a so talented figurative artist, a belly so unnatural. It seems a collage, instead of a painting. It´s really horrendous. For sure, this is not his best painting. 
A friend of mine, painter as well, used to say, defining this painting: "A horrendous painting of a horrendous body. Anyway, i prefer the painting".
